The Mercedes E and Mecedes CLS class cars (pre Model Year 2009) that have the Audio-20 CD system need to have an Mercedes Audio Gateway (AGW) added in order to retrofit COMAND APS (DVD) or Audio 50 APS (NTG1) to the vehicle.

This kit provides a nice easy way to install the AGW (sold seperately) by plugging into the Audio-20 connector and converting it to fit the COMAND APS or the Audio 50 APS and provides all the cabling needed to install the dual tuner AGW into the vehicle.

It consists of: -
Retrofit wiring loom which plugs into the car's Audio-20 connector and rear fusebox and AGW
Antenna splitter for the dual tuner AGW (AGW sold seperately)
Mounting plate for AGW
Screws / bolts for above
Felt tape & cable ties (not shown in picture)

If your car has the Audio-20-Casette or the Audio-50-APS then you will not need this kit as your car already has the wiring in place already. If your car has the Audio-20-Casette then you will need the antenna splitter and the dual tuner AGW which you can purchase separately.

In order to install the full Audio-50-APS system, you will still need at least the following: -
Audio-50-APS system
Map disk
Dual Tuner AGW

In order to install the COMAND-APS system, you will still need at least the following: -
COMAND head unit
Navigation Drive
Navigation DVD disk
Navigation processor wiring loom, and fibre optic loom
If you car does not have the navigation processor bracket already you will need the bracket, screws and boot carpet.
