This is the Mercedes iPod kit for the new audio units supplied from Model Year 09 (i.e new cars delivered from mid June 08 onwards). This includes the A,B,ML,GL,R,E,CLS,SLK class cars with COMAND or Audio-20. It is also suitable for the Vito/Viano from Model Year 2010 *with* bluetooth built into the head unit. It is not for the CLK.

It is not suitable for the S/CL or the W204 C Class or new W212/W207 E Class/coupe/estate or cars with the Audio-5 (no UK cars have Audio-5), or for the SL or SLS vehicles.

This genuine Mercedes part wil allow your iPod to charge on cars with older iPods or a Media Interface / UMI that does not charge the newer iPods.

The Mercedes iPod kits for the earlier A/B/C/CLK/GL/ML/R/CL/S/E/CLS/SLK (DVD based, or Audio-20 CD, i.e pre Model Year 2009) do not charge the latest iPod/iPhones since they use 5 Volts to charge instead of accepting 5 volts or 12 volts. This adapter lead replaces the existing lead from iPod interface to iPod/iPhone in order to charge all iPods & iPhones with the dock connector.

Please note that the "Model Year 2009" and W204/W212/W207 (C/E/E-Coupe/E-convertible) come with the new charging lead. The other iPod kits do not.

This is the Mercedes cradle that can be stuck into the glovebox to hold an iPhone, iPod Touch, nano with video or new Classic secure whilst driving. It is suitable for any of the IPOD kits.

You don't need this but we recommend you do use it as it stops rattles and protects your iPhone/iPod.

This genuine Mercedes part is used to boost the volume of the iPod kit if you find it is too low compared to other sources. It is required on the new W204 C class if you do not have the Harmon Kardon sound system and useful on the other cars, especially with older iPod kits which were noticably quieter than CD / Radio sources.

If your car was specified with the Media Interface (which allows iPod, aux-in and USB connection on the Model Year 2009 audio units which have built in phone systems), you will have a MI connector in the glovebox or centre glovebox, into which you plug the appropriate cable set, or a different extension lead to connect to an iPhone/iPhone3G phone cradle.

This is the standard cable set for the A, B, C, CLS, E, GLK, SL. SLK class vehicles allowing connection of an iPod (or iPhone for music functionality), or a USB stick, or a 3.5mm aux jack for other non iPod music players.

This is the cable to connect the iPhone phone cradle to the Mercedes iPod kit.

This version is for E, CLS, SLK and NTG2.5 (MY2009) cars (A/B/CLC/W211-E/CLS/ML/GL/R).
It is not suitable for pre MY2009 A/B/CLC/W211-E/CLS/ML/GL/R or the W204-C, W207-E Coupe & W212 E class ipod kits.

It replaces the exising iPod connection lead, thus it is no longer possible to connect an iPod, you must use the iPhone.
