It is put into the navigation DVD drive in the boot (trunk) of the car. It is not suitable for cars that have a CD that only covers one to three countries in the head unit (see our Navigation CD section) and not suitable for the latest MY2009 facelift cars that have a built in hard disk.

This is a genuine Mercedes GPS retrofit antenna for Audio-50-APS & DVD based / Hard Disk based COMAND systems (NTG1, NTG2, NTG3 and NTG2.5). Not suitable for W203 CLC or W204 C class, W207/W212 new E class.

This antenna is for the newer Comand APS DVD based systems as found in the A/B/C/CLK/ML/GL/R/Vito/Viano range

This is not a genuine Mercedes item and hence is considerably cheaper. We do not beleive it is quite as good in built up (i.e low signal) areas.
