This is the wiring adapter that you will need to install Comand into a 2004 or 2005 ML (old shape W163), it contains the CD changer / reverse signal adapter, and allows you to plug a COMAND unit straight into the existing ML wiring.

If you have a 2002/2003 ML than you need to puchase the adapter for 2002/2003 ML as that has the antenna adapter also.

Please note carefully that this is not for the 2005 new shape W164 ML

If you are trying to fit a COMAND 2.0 with part number A210 820 xx xx or A208 820 xx xx into a W163 ML or a car without CANbus, then you need this device which take's the car's ignition, lights and speed signals and makes the CANbus needed for the A210/A208 COMAND units.

It also includes the adapter leads to connect to the car's C connector and power the CD changer and wakeup signals for phone / BOSE sound system etc.

You will have to insert the wires on this loom into the C2 connector on your COMAND and drill a 19mm hole in the glovebox for the AUX input on the side nearest the COMAND.
