Bluetooth solution for Mercedes with the Nokia 6310 fixed cradle integrated steering wheel.

You no longer have to keep a Nokia 6150/6210/6310 just to use the steering wheel controls in your Mercedes, or find someone that can replace the phone system with the new Mercedes exchangeable cradle system.

This device is the same shape as a Nokia Nokia 6150/6210/6310 phone, and clips into the cradle in your Mercedes. The Mercedes phone system then believes it has a Nokia phone connected, enabling the steering wheel controls, display in the cluster and on the COMAND screen.

The device then uses bluetooth to actually connect to your mobile phone, and hey presto, you have your bluetooth phone working with your Mercedes phone system.

So, you can now throw away your old Nokia 6150/6210/6310 and use a new phone, via bluetooth with your Mercedes steering wheel controls and screen.

We know this works really well with the current Nokia 6xxx series phones, and downloads the phonebook automatically. With other phones you may need to send the phonebook to the device, but of course, different phones behave very differently with Bluetooth, so not all phones will download the phonebook into the car. The ViseeO does not support sending/receving SMS messages.

The alternative is to have your whole phone system removed and replaced with the newer system (which your dealer will say is impossible) - and that is significantly more expensive.

Please note that if you are using an iPhone, then your car will need either steering wheel controls or an answer button on the Audio system you have. This is because the iPhone routes sound to a bluetooth device if calls are answered on the bluetooth device and not when they are answered on the iPhone.
Of course, with other phones, if you dont have an answer button on the car, then you will need to answer the call on the phone itself.

On Samsung phones you mostly do not get caller lists (i.e calls made/received/missed) available.

** iPhones running IOS 4 and the new iphone 4 do not download the address book correctly. This is an issue with Apple's OS which we have reported to them. **

Please note, if you are using this in a UHI Cradle (exchangeable cradle) on your car we have only tested it on cradles with the Q9 software version and the A171 xxx xxx xx part number - we suggest that you use a cradle with software revision Q9 (look for the Q number on the rear of the cradle, it slides off toward the rear of the car when you press the little button) - or better still a MBU-2000.

If you are using this product in the SL with the curly cord phone cradle, on a few cars the glovebox lid pushes the top button of the ViseeO and drops the connection if you go over a bump. This can be fixed by taking a rubber bump stop from the bottom of the car's cradle in it's open position and sticking it onto the ViseeO MBU-2000 cradle.

During the warranty period we will upgrade the cradle software for free if newer software is released that fixes an issue that is affecting you or provides extra functionality that you would like, for instance if you purchase a new phone and it needs newer software in the ViseeO. All you need to do is to ask for a RMA number and send it to us. We will pay for the return fully insured postage to you. We strongly suggest you send your cradle to us using an insured postal service.


You can extend your warranty for an extra year (and the software upgrade service will be extended).
