iPhone 4/4S cradle for MY2012 C Class and new W218 CLS Class

Bluetooth cradle with the additional advantage that when the phone is clipped in it will be charged and the car's external aerial is used.

This version has the 30cm cable to connect to the Media Interface connector in the centre armest on the MY2012 C class (built from March 2011) and the new W218 CLS Class cars.

It charges the iPhone 4/4S, thus meaning the iPhone's battery won't go flat on you and is slightly cheaper than a Mercedes HFP cradle.

The phone need not be in the cradle for it to work (although for charging and external aerial facilities it must be).


Please note that although the cradle uses bluetooth, it will only pair with the Apple iPhone 4 & 4S

All our iphone 4 cradles have had the necessary S/W update to function correctly with the new iphone 4S

Please also note that we have had 2 reports (out of hundreds of users) of people having problems after upgrading their iPhones to iPhone IOS4.3 where the address book doesn't function properly. This is an issue caused by changes in IOS4.3 bluetooth, but can possibly be worsened by old versions of firmware in older cradles or in the vehicle's phone system, and by non english characters in address book entries. Firmware in the car can be updated by your Mercedes dealer, firmware in older cradles can be updated by Mercedes or by us, and you should check the address book entries (name, number, email address) for non english characters. We have alerted Apple to this and urge any affected users to do the same.
