We have created this retrofit kit using all genuine Mercedes parts.

The kit consists of retrofit microphone, stick on retrofit antenna, UHI phone controller, cradle connector, fibre optics and wiring including fibre optic and wakeup splices and cable ties.

This is for cars with Audio-20 CD, Audio 50 APS, and COMAND-APS (DVD based COMAND). It will NOT work in cars that have the Hard Disk based Navigation system or the newer Audio-20 systems with the red/green phone buttons, or the W204 C Class, W221 S Class, W216 CL class.

In addition to this kit, you will need to purchase a phone console to match your interior colour or the appropriate centre-glovebox finishing parts kit from this site, and an appropriate phone cradle. We often suggest to people purchasing a bluetooth HFP cradle that they put the cradle in the main glovebox thus saving the cost of the centre console parts/wiring and a phone console.

Note that we have found that some very early Audio-20-CD units have old software in them and do not work with phone systems ! If this is the case we can supply replacement Audio-20-CD units, please contact us for details.

We also assemble these kits to order, so they may take a couple of days to ship. Please use the order notes (on payment page) to let us know what vehicle you are putting this in and whether you intend to put the cradle in the main glovebox or the centre armrest.

Please note that this system is known as 'UHI' and is slightly different to the North America system called 'MHI'. We know the UHI system actually works in North American vehicles with the European Bluetooth adapter but it may not be approved for use in USA (FCC regulations). Some North American vehicles have some degree of pre-wiring which we have no information on.
